Proud moment for Cris



Cristiano Ronaldo was happy to captain Portugal against Brazil amid claims he is unsure over his club future. The Manchester United winger skippered his country in Tuesday's 2-0 friendly win at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium at the behest of Carlos Silva - the Portuguese FA vice-president who died on Sunday.

But while it was a proud moment for Ronaldo, he was refusing to put too much stock on the result, with Portugal playing Belgium and Serbia in Euro 2008 qualifiers next month. "It was good for me, but the responsibility is always the same one," Ronaldo told A Bola. "Therefore my objective in the team is to always play well and to help with my best form.

"Beating Brazil gives us a lot of spirit, but there are two important games coming up and these are the ones that count, therefore this victory can only bring more motivation."
