Long way to go

A humble Cristiano Ronaldo admits he still is a long way from matching the likes of former Manchester United midfielder David Beckham and Barcelona's Ronaldinho on the world stage.

The Manchester United wing ace told DT: "People compare me with Beckham and Ronaldinho, but I still have a long way to go in order to do everything that Beckham achieved with Manchester United, or to play like Ronaldinho does with Barca.

"Everybody talks about other No7s at Manchester United, like (Eric) Cantona, (Bryan) Robson and (George) Best. But I cannot be compared with them.

"I took this No7, a number of great tradition at Manchester United and I am proud to wear it."
