Thierry Henry was listed as the world's best football player in the Castrol Rankings.

Henry scored 23 goals and set up 11 more as Barcelona won the Champions League, Copa del Rey and Spanish league last season.

Lionel Messi, another of the five Barcelona players in the top 10, was second in the list released Thursday, just ahead of Real Madrid winger Cristiano Ronaldo. Messi and Ronaldo are the favorites for this season's Golden Ball award.

Barcelona center back Gerard Pique was fourth, ahead of Liverpool striker Fernando Torres.
