Cristiano Ronaldo has told Sir Alex Ferguson to forget any idea of resting him this season.
The winger has vowed to play right through until the end of the season in a bid to bring more glory to Manchester United.
Ronaldo has been in superb form this campaign, scoring 22 goals in 25 games to stand just one short of last season's total when he scooped every individual award going as well as inspiring United to the Premier League title.
This time last season Fergie gave Ronaldo a five-day break, the 22-year-old winger jetting off to Dubai to ensure he did not suffer from burn-out.
But he has no intention of taking another January break this time around and is ready to carry on producing the remarkable form that saw him plunder a hat-trick in the 6-0 rout of Newcastle at the weekend.
"This time last season the boss gave me a break for four or five days," said Ronaldo. "But people who know me will know that all I want to do is play. I just want to play, score goals, make assists and do good things for the team.
"I'm enjoying staying here in Manchester. There isn't much sun at the moment but it's not a problem. The weather is not the most important thing.
"I had a great season in 2007 and played really well. I scored a lot of goals, made a few goals, and it was a wonderful season for me.
"But this season I'm at the same level. I've scored quite a few goals, played at a good level and the important thing is to keep going like that. I want to learn more and play more.
"I want to score as many goals as I can. I have many opportunities to score because my team-mates make good passes for me and because there are so many games, not just the Premier League but the Champions League and the FA Cup.
"I think I've scored four or five really good goals this season, but I don't have a favourite. It's wonderful to score every time it happens, and each time the feeling is different."
Ronaldo is vital to United's hopes of holding off the challenge of Arsenal and Chelsea as Fergie's men attempt to provide their boss with his 10th Premier League title in 16 years.
He admitted he and his teammates must continue to win trophies to be considered a truly great side.
"Maybe some people will say that this is the best United squad," he added.
"We have a lot of individual talent but if we don't win anything then people can't say it's the best group of players.
"We have to win the Champions League, the Premier League and the FA Cup, because trophies are the most important thing. But I think in my time here, this is the best group we've had. The boss loves to win trophies.
"He has the mentality of a winner, because he's won so many things for United.
"The boss loves to be in charge of this club, and it's an honour for us to play for him."
